Celebrating One Year of ParentMD!
I am pleased to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of launching ParentMD in August 2022! Thank you to all those who have provided words of encouragement and support, shared with others or contributed to our content and services to families. Albeit the journey has been challenging, as we expected, it has also been very rewarding to connect families to resources, partners and content which is trusted and brings a peace of mind to parents.
We are excited about our future and growing partnerships, but our team is most excited about the recent release of the Baby Playbook! Why?
When doing some research, we noticed that there were multiple video resources available focused on various topics like sleep and feeding, but not one that was exhaustive and curated by pediatricians who were mothers for that unique perspective.
So, we got together with mothers who were also practicing pediatricians and asked them what they thought all parents needed to know for the first year of a baby’s life. Over 50 videos and multiple additional resources later … they all culminated into the Baby Playbook.
This is only the beginning, as we will continue to edit, revise and add more content with each edition. Subscribers will get unlimited access through the years as we continue to improve the digital product. Our vision is for this to be a “must have” for all new parents much like the book series, What to Expect....
We are looking to connect parents to the Baby Playbook in a multitude of venues, but we believe one of the most effective will be for this to be the ultimate baby gift from friends, family, and employers. As we strive to get the word out and bring value to new parents, please tell us how we can serve you even better. Your feedback is very important to us as we want this resource to reflect one of our driving mottos, “Pediatrician led. Parent guided.”
As we move into the fall months, I want to encourage everyone to get outside with their families and to take those walks in the woods, paddle in a canoe, sit around a campfire, and find a weekend to take the family camping. You will love it and will make many memories with your children.
