A note from the founder
As we look toward the holiday season, our minds are prompted to consider important pillars in our lives: faith, family, friends, and thanksgiving for our blessings. In the same vein, I would like to use this time to comment on the values of ParentMD, which I believe are foundational for our brand and future.
Trust – The biggest gap we feel parents face is having a trusted partner in the virtual world. With all of the misinformation, nonclinical “experts”, and endless sites to choose from it leaves parents scratching their heads. As a father, pediatrician, and entrepreneur, I have gathered some of the top pediatric clinical experts together in our clinical advisory council as well as a parent advisory council to provide a direction that parents can trust.
Family – Besides your faith, nothing is more important!
Compassion – In healthcare, compassion is the litmus test of quality and mission. Do you say it or do you show it? I’m proud to say that our team is driven to impact lives for the better and our hearts go out to every parent and child who has a struggle whether it be the anxiety of bringing a newborn into the world for the first time, facing a new diagnosis, or accommodating a developmental or emotional struggle – the list goes on and on. The bottom line is that we care, want to serve, and are striving to build a brand that impacts lives.
Expertise - We can have all of the above but if we don’t have clinical or business expertise, we will be ineffective. I am confident in the team and standards we have in place to build a brand that can be trusted and add value to the families we serve.
Let us know how we can partner, serve, and come along side you to impact the lives of children and families.
Sincerely,
Josh Honaker, MD, MBA, FAAP
